A Travel Company’s Facebook Success Story

by Michelle Salater on October 19, 2009

Ears of Experience owner Amy Sinclair shares with Sumer, LLC, the results her company has seen since they began integrating PR with various social media platforms.

Amy Sinclair and her team have been using their Facebook company page to express the personality of their company, as well as add valuable tips and advice, and promote specials for vacationing at Disney. Amy finds that the key to gaining maximum online exposure is by touching followers on a variety of social media platforms. Posting a variety of valuable information is one of the best ways to keep visitors coming back. Amy has also seen great success in directly feeding her blog posts into her company page. By creating a direct feed to your Facebook page from your blog, you can decrease the time you spend updating social media (the post automatically is posted to the Facebook company wall).

In addition to conversing on Facebook, Ears of Experience also uses Twitter and YouTube to touch prospective customers and update them on news, specials, and tips. They incorporate all social media platforms in order to receive maximum exposure. For example, Amy will post her video from YouTube on her Facebook page and post the link on Twitter to drive even more traffic to the video. Amy also discusses the importance of doing social networking on a daily basis. Based on their analytics, Ears of Experience has seen a dramatic increase in traffic to their blog and website thanks to daily social networking efforts.

That says it all. We all have to connect with each other and promote to help everyone succeed. I’m looking forward to the PR bootcamp!
