Great idea Melody. I frequently use a timer when I’m writing and just go for it! You’ve inspired me to take that timer out on social media sites too.

It’s easy for me to get distracted when I’m on Facebook, so setting a timer and “socializing” for a set period of time is a great idea. I’ve tried watching the computer clock, but it’s too easy to go past the designated time. At least with a timer you have an audio reminder that it’s time to move on to other things.

I agree Damien. Many times business owners spend way to much time on marketing their business online because they don’t know where they should be or why they are using certain platforms–so they just sign up for everything. In the end, it can be exhausting and highly inefficient. It’s important to know the power of PR2.0 when marketing your business online. Learning these strategies will reduce the time you waste marketing online and increase business productivity.

I couldn’t agree more. When I hear about people spending hours every day marketing themselves online, I wonder how much they’re actually accomplishing–and also at what cost to the quality of the rest of their work and their personal life. Those hours must be coming out of time that would have been spent doing something else.
