People and businesses lacking integrity and a sense of 'the right thing to do' will ultimately fail. In the meantime though, we should continue to speak out and maintain a perspective of 'buyer beware'.

That's interesting you bring up the increasing number of cities, parks, etc, that are aggressively trying to gain fans. I've also noticed a ton "Cool Chicks" or "Fashion Forward" people trying to reach out to me on FB, but I have no idea who they are, what they're trying to do, and what they want from me. You hit the nail on the head with picking a generic name and blasting out advertisements. It's annoying, rude, and makes me not want to play on FB.

I agree with the Walmart comparison. It seems that the cheapest way to open a store is pick a generic name that appeals to many and start blasting out subliminal advertisements. I think I have a request to be a fan of every town in South Carolina, along with every beach, bridge, & street in Charleston. Who are these people telling me who play with in my city? This may even go back to your last post about transparency. Who are you and why are you important? I am wondering when FB users will see through this hidden spam reject it and seek the real experts on FB?
